Franklin Ave Playground Committee To Begin Taking Down Old Equipment

The Franklin Avenue Playground Committee is close enough to its fundraising goals for the real work of replacing the playground equipment at Franklin Avenue Elementary School in Pearl River to begin.

That begins with removal of the current equipment, which will begin 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to Tom Warren of the playground committee. The goal is to have that part of the work done before classes begin next week so there will be no distractions for the students.

The new equipment could be in as early as the first weekend of October.
