Last Chance: Pearl River Schools Budget, Voter Registration

Each week, Pearl River Patch will remind you of upcoming deadlines that could have an impact on your life in our new Last Chance feature. 

Upcoming important deadlines include:

• The last chance to speak up regarding the 2012-13 Pearl River School District budget will be at the board of education meeting 7:30 p.m. May 1 at the district administrative offices on Crooked Hill Road. A public budget hearing will be part of the meeting.
• May 6 is the deadline to register to vote in the district May 15. In addition to the budget, Pearl River residents will vote on two of the five board of education seats and a transportation measure.  To check registration status or to register to vote, contact Mary Flanagan at flanaganm@pearlriver.org or (845) 620-3924. Residents must provide photo identification and proof of residence to register.
