Lincoln Avenue 2nd Graders to Present to Board of Education

The Pearl River Board of Education December meeting is traditionally light, but has more going on after the Nov. 29 meeting was cancelled.

The Lincoln Avenue Elementary School second grade will be the latest group of students to present the Pearl River Board of Education at tonight's meeting, 7:30 p.m. in Pirate Cove.

The second graders will make a presentation about the use of technology in their Fundations learing.

The full agenda for tonight's meeting can be found here.

The board will also hold second and final readings for new policies as well as addressing new business in its only meeting in December.

The meeting falls at a busy time for the district administration, which is moving to the new offices on Crooked Hill Road. Admininistrators currently in the Nauraushaun Building and new Director of Human Resources and Community Relations Diana Musich will go Thursday, with the rest of the administration moving next Monday.

Current Director of Community Relations and Adult Education Sandra Cokeley is also preparing for retirement. Her final day with the district is Dec. 23.

An issues conference will be a wast of time and money. So many ' issues ' have been pulled out ofRead More thin air. The people who organized against the plant will just keep saying the same thing. No amount of info will be enough, no answer will be accepted. The issues conference will be a circus of endless questions, ideas, and demands. Haverstraw bay reclassified as drinking water will better protect it, provide an endless supply of water and finally help end the stereotype of the Hudson being polluted Recommend
