The Pearl River School District will hold a public hearing of its Code of Conduct for 2012-13 at the beginning of Tuesday's board of education meeting, which begins 7:30 p.m. at the district administration building.
The adoption of the Code of Conduct is on the agenda for the meeting, which will also include first readings of 27 board policies for the upcoming school year. The plies range from instructional goals to the school calendar, programs for gifted and talented students and homebound instruction. Most are reviews of existing policies, though Compensatory Education would be replaced by Academic Intervention Service, which provides aid for students in danger of failing to meet state learning standards.
The full agenda for Tuesday's meeting is attached to this report. Among the items included are:
- Personnel, such extra-curricular appointments and substitute teachers.
- Budget report with general fund review through May 31, 2012.
- Supplies bids awarded
- Tax settlement with Keebler company
