Pearl River High School Honors Top Students

Pearl River High School recognized achievements by students in grades eight through 11 at Monday's Academic Award Ceremony in the high school auditorium.
Principal William Furdon gave them something to shoot for as he read off the names of the top 10 percent of the Class of 2013 and their accomplishments.
Furdon spoke about them being the leaders in the high school and challenged the younger students to find a way to make a similar impact. 
Pearl River Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Morgano, Board of Education Member Tom DePrisco and Pearl River High School Assistant Principal Kevin McCahill also joined in addressing the packed crowd of students, their families and their teachers. 
Among the awards given out was West Point's 2013 Dwight D. Eisenhower Leadership Award, which went to junior James Duggan.
