Pearl River Holding Second Clothing, Toy Fundraising Drive

The Pearl River School District PTAs are teaming with I Donate Goods for a fundraiser supporting school programs Friday and Saturday in Pearl River High School's Pirate Cove.

The Pearl River School District's PTAs held a used clothing, textiles and toy fundraising drive April 29 and 30.

The event went well enough that they are doing it again this weekend, teaming with I Donate Goods for a fundraising drive to be held at Pearl River High School's Pirate Cove from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

“We had so much success with this last spring and many people have asked us if we would do it again," said Sherri Preston, president of the Evans Park Elementary School PTA. "It really is a great opportunity to support our schools, help others, and protect the environment all at the same time.”

I Donate Goods is a recycling company that will go through the donated items and sell them to people in need in the United States and overseas. The PTAs will receive 16 cents per pound of items donated and a $100 bonus for every 5,000 pounds from I Donate Goods.

The following items will be accepted for the drive:
