The Pearl River PTAs will once again combine their efforts with I Donate Goods for their used clothing and toy drive Friday and Saturday at Pearl River High School.
Items will be accepted at Pirate Cove from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Last year's drives raised hundreds of dollars for Pearl River's six PTA's, the district's five schools and special education.
The PTAs will receive 16 cents per pound of items donated and a $100 bonus for every 5,000 pounds from I Donate Goods, a recylcing company which will sort the items to be sold to people in need in the United States and overseas.
Acceptable items include:
- men's, women's and children's clothing
- stuffed animals
- intact toys with all of the pieces
Clothes and linens should be cleaned and packed into large bags. All items should be brought to Pirate Cove, in the back of the high school building.
