Pearl River School Board Honors Athletes, Coaches

The Pearl River Board of Education and administration honored many of Pearl Rier High School's top athletes and coaches at Tuesday's meeting.

Hall of Fame NFL Coach Vince Lombardi once said, “The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.”

Pearl River Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Morgano quoted Lombardi while honoring top coaches and athletes at Pearl River High School at Tuesday's school board meeting, using it to make the point out the work it took for them to have success.

"There are very few people born athletes," Morgano said. "That's something 99 percent of the population has to work hard to be. You worked really hard and you have achieved something very few people have achieved. "
