Pearl River Schools will be closed Friday due to the winter storm that threatens the Northeast.
The Pearl River School District sent out notice of the closure shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday. Pearl River's schools had been open Thursday, but all after school activities were cancelled.
The St. Margaret School in Pearl River also closes when the public schools close. They share transportation.
The South Orangetown Central School District is still on winter break until Monday. Elsewhere in Rockland County, Nyack and Nanuet both also made the decision to close Friday due to the weather.
