Pearl River Schools Interviewing Candidates for PRHS Vice Principal

The search committee will meed with candidates this week.

The Pearl River School District is moving forward on its search for a new vice principal for Pearl River high School.

The district began advertising for applicants shortly after July 10. According to Pearl River Director of Human Resources and Community Services Diana Musich, the application process is over.

A committee made up of teachers, parents and administrators is expected to meet with candidates this week. Once the committee makes its recommendations, the next step is meetings with Musich and Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Morgano. They will then take candidates to the Pearl River Board of Education for approval.

The new vice principal may not be in place when classes begin Sept. 5.

"The board may approve the candidate, but it depnds on the situation where they are and how much time they need for notification," Musich said. "It could be up to 30 days from board approval to start date. Sometimes a district will release you earlier."
