Pearl River Schools Setting Up Scholarship in Cupples' Name
The district is accepting donations for the scholarship.
Former long-time Pearl River teacher Tom Cupples passed away Oct. 26 in Virginia, where he had been living with his wife Barbara.
There was a memorial service in his name Dec. 11 at Pearl River United Methodist Church.
The Pearl River School District is now accepting donations for a memorial scholarship in his name. Barbara Cupples and Pearl River High School Principal Bill Furdon are working out the criteria for the scholarship and how it will be awarded.

Donations should be made out to the "Pearl River School District" and sent to Pearl River School District Director of Operations Quinton Van Wynen at 135 West Crooked Hill Road in Pearl River.
