Rockland Read-In: Pearl River Middle School, Lincoln Avenue Elementary Recognized
The Rockland County BOCES recognized county schools for the performances by their students in February's Rockland Read-In
Two Pearl River District Schools earned special recognition for their participation in February's 27th Annual Rockland Read-In.
This year 62 schools in Rockland County participated with students reading a total of 4,452,038 minutes ad part of the annual event designed to inspire students to read for pleasure.
Lincoln Avenue Elementary took second place among elementary schools with under 300 students, behind only Sloatsburg. Sloatsburg also won most improved for the category.

Pearl River Middle School took third in most minutes read per student in its division. Mac Arthur Barr in the Nanuet School District took first.
Albertus Magnus earned most improved honors and took second in minutes read per school among High Schools.
