Tappan Zee Tennis Tips Pearl River, 4-3

Tappan Zee took all three singles matches in a victory at Pearl River Monday.

The Tappan Zee boys tennis team took all three singles matches and the fourth doubles to win at Pearl River, 4-3, Monday.

TZ, featuring 11 out of 14 players from last year’s team, expects to be very
competitive every match and battle for a division title, noted second-year coach Nick Desantis.

“Hopefully, we can build off of our experience to accomplish our goals,” Desantis said.

Tappan Zee’s decisive victory came at fourth doubles, with Brian Kang and Ken Uy
prevailing. Among key returnees are Greg Jewel, Chris Rinchiera, Matt Zebiak, and Rohan Ranadive. Jewel, Rinchiera, and Zebiak all won their matches on Monday.

Newcomers for the Dutchmen include seventh-grader Jacob Kotch, ninth-grader Brent Deleon, and Jordan Rinchiera Tappan Zee will return to Pearl River for the Pirates tournament on April 29-30.
