Albertus's Sullivan Second Team All-State in Boys Basketball

Five players from Rockland County were included in the New York State Sportswriter's Association All-State boys basketball teams, which were announced Thursday.

The New York State Sportswriters Association named Albertus Magnus senior guard Jack Sullivan second-team all state in Class A Thursday.

Sullivan, who will play in college at Division II UMASS-Lowell, averaged 21 points per game as a senior for the Falcons.

The NYSSWA included five players from Rockland County when it released its 2012-13 boys basketball all-state teams Thursday.

In Class AA Spring Valley sophomore forward Kai Mitchell made the eighth team and North Rockland senior Elijah Tillman was named to the ninth team.

In Class A, Pearl River junior forward Kevin Degnan was selected to the ninth team and Tappan Zee senior guard Joe Letizia gained honorable mention.
