Author Crompton Addresses Teen Dating Violence

Vicki Crompton, author of 'Saving Beauty From the Beast,' will discuss the dangers and signs of teen dating violence Wednesday at South Orangetown Middle School.

Author Vicki Crompton began educating others about the dangers of teen dating violence after the murder of her 15-year-old daughter, Jenny.

The writer of "Saving Beauty From the Beast: How to Protect Your Daughter From an Unhealthy Relationship" will continue to spread her message during discussion at South Orangetown Middle School Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The event is co-sponsored by the Center for Safety & Change, Stop F.E.A.R Criminal Justice Committee, the Orangetown Police Department and the Tappan Zee High School Athletic Department.

Crompton will speak about the dangers of teen dating and the warning signs of trouble. The event is open to parents and students in Rockland County.
