Coughlan Leads Pearl River Boys Soccer Past Nanuet

Pearl River's plan for the 2013 season involves getting standout senior defender Chris Coughlan more involved in the offense.

Coughlan made it work in the Pirates opener, scoring three goals as Pearl River defeated Nanuet, 5-0, at home Saturday.

Senior Brian Chiarello scored a goal and assisted on another and Kevin Murphy opened the scoring with his first varsity goal. Tony Ortega, Matt Leote and Aiden Miller each had assists for the Pirates, who play at home again 4 p.m. Monday against Spring Valley.
