Pearl River Bowling Splits with Tappan Zee

Wrestling has taken center stage this week in Section 1. Now that the opening round of the dual meets are complete the finals have been set. The Division 1 finals will be held at North Rockland High School at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 14. Top-seeded Fox Lane will take on North Rockland and Brewster will square off against New Rochelle. As for Division 2, Edgemont and Nanuet will hit the matt at 4:30 p.m. at Edgemont on Dec. 12.

The Pearl River boys basketball season will get its season underway, facing Suffern 7 p.m. Friday at home.

Game: Albertus Magnus vs. Clarkstown South

Score: Albertus Magnus Won 54-48

Highlights: Maeve Parahus led all scorers with 31 points for the Falcons. Clarkstown South’s Laura Castaldo, Madeline Downes, and Amanda Oliveira each had 11 points.

Sport: Boy’s Bowling

Game: Pearl River vs. Tappan Zee

Score: Tappan Zee Won 4-3

Highlights: Nick Carbonetto for Tappan Zee, he had the two top games (263, 246) and the best series of the day at (658). Pearl River was led by Paul Owens best game (231) and high series (633).

Sport: Girl’s Bowling

Game: Pearl River vs. Tappan Zee

Score: Pearl River Won 5-2

Highlights: Pearl River’s Kystle Cuti had the best game of the day at 191.

Today’s Schedule:

In boys basketball, Pearl River will open its season at 7 p.m. at home against Suffern.

In ice hockey, New Rochelle faces off against Pearl River at 9:15 p.m. at Sports-O-Rama in Monsey.
