Wrestling has taken center stage this week in Section 1. Now that the opening round of the dual meets are complete the finals have been set. The Division 1 finals will be held at North Rockland High School at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 14. Top-seeded Fox Lane will take on North Rockland and Brewster will square off against New Rochelle. As for Division 2, Edgemont and Nanuet will hit the matt at 4:30 p.m. at Edgemont on Dec. 12.
The Pearl River boys basketball season will get its season underway, facing Suffern 7 p.m. Friday at home.

Highlights: Nick Carbonetto for Tappan Zee, he had the two top games (263, 246) and the best series of the day at (658). Pearl River was led by Paul Owens best game (231) and high series (633).
