Former Pearl River High School three-sport star Victor Veltidi, 82, will be inducted into the Rockland County Sports Hall of Fame at the 39th Annual Induction Dinner 5 p.m. Sunday at the Pearl River Elks Club.

Veltidi was a standout in baseball, football and basketball at Pearl River and played minor league baseball briefly before being drafted in 1951 to serve in the Army during the Korean War. He chose not to return to professional baseball.

Pearl River native Dan Sullivan is also one of this year's seven inductees. Sullivan is already a member of the sports halls of fame at Albertus Magnus High School and Dominican College, where he was a 1,000-point scorer.

Sullivan passed away due to a heart attack Oct. 31, 2011 at the age of 57. The Dan Sullivan Foundation was recently formed in his name and will hold its first fundraising event May 5 at Albertus Magnus.

Marcel Cooper of Nyack, Albertus Magnus alum John Diffley, Tom McTaggart of Suffern, Dennis O'Sullivan of North Rockland and Dawn Sugrue of Ramapo will also be inducted Sunday night.
