The Pirates had a busy weekend as several young athletes traveled across the state to compete with the elite. Pearl River’s cross country teams in the federation championships, and several Pirates swam in the state championships.

Pearl River alum and Manhattanville guard Taylor Wilson, was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Marymount Tip-Off Tournament after the Valiants 65-54 win.

Game: Federation Championships Bowdoin park Wappingers Falls

Girl’s Score: Pearl River 213 (Forth Place)

Highlights: Sophomore Kelly Hayes led the Pirates with a time of 19:31. Seniors Ceili McMorrow and Maria Kohlbrenner fallowed closely behind.

Boy’s Score: Pearl River 377 (16th Place)

Highlights: Senior Kieran Brennan led the boys with a time of 16:50.

 

Sport: Girl’s Swimming

Game: State Championship Full Results

Highlights: The 200 Medley Relay team of Taylor Hodges, Theresa McKallen, Kaitlyn Langee and Nicole Naher finished with a time of 1:55.13. Hodges also competed in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke.

 

Today’s Schedule:

A cheerleading tournament will be held today and tomorrow at the Westchester County Center. Pearl River and Albertus Magnus are both expected to compete.
