Harvard University junior defenseman Josephine Pucci of Pearl River had her third goal of the season and led a strong Crimson defense that blanked Colgate, 4-0, at the Bright Hockey Center in Cambridge, MA.
The shutout was Harvard’s second against Colgate (8-16-1, 3-10-1 ECAC) this season, as the Crimson won the first game in the series, 2-0.
Both teams took a pair of penalties down the stretch but Harvard added another goal before the buzzer as Pucci jostled the puck away from a Colgate skater and fed Lyndsey Fry of Chandler, AZ, who sped down the ice and into the Colgate zone. Fry got the puck back to Pucci on a well-timed pass and all Pucci had to do was redirect the puck into the open net to cap the 4-0 final.
