A strong second quarter propelled the Edgemont boys lacrosse team over Pearl River as the Panthers scored five goals in the period to boost the team .

Jared Simon led all scorers with five goals and three assists in the win while Austin Doukas scored twice. Kyle McDonald scored two of Pearl River's three goals and goalie Lowell Hunt stopped 11 shots as the Pirates dropped to 0-6.
The Pearl River girls lacrosse team fell to 0-4 with a 19-15 loss to John Jay. The Pirates showed signs of improvement and rallied from a big early deficit behind senior Kiera McMullan's eight goals and three assists.

The Pearl River softball team made a successful return from its Florida trip with a 22-1, five-inning victory over Valhalla, which was the Class B section champion last season. Starting pitcher Mandy McCarthy hit a three-run double and singled twice while giving up only one unearned run and senior right fielder Shannon McKiernan contributed a grand slam home run and two doubles.

Highlights: Lauren Murray scored six goals and assisted on three others and Kelsey Davey found the back of the net five times as John Jay edged out Pearl River. Kiera McMullian led the Pirates with eight goals in the loss.

Game: Valhalla vs. Pearl River
Score:
Highlights: Shannon McKiernan hit her first career home run, a grand slam in the third, and doubled twice. The Pirates sent 20 batters to the plate during a 17-run third inning.
Sport: Softball
Game: Albertus Magnus vs. North Rockland
Score: North Rockland Won 6-1
Highlights: North Rockland’s Madison Knipl picked up the victory as she only allowed one hit and struck out five. Knipl also went 1-3 and scored twice in the win while Alexa Chiorazzi had three RBI.
