Daily Sports Digest: Pearl River Softball Improves To 2-0 In Brady Memorial Tournament

The Pearl River softball team kept up its impressive offensive display in the second game of the Alicia Brady Memorial tournament Monday with a 19-2 victory over New City-Congers.

Isabella Esposito, Alyssa Smith and Elle Sheehan all had three hits for Pearl River. Smith and Mary Borkoski each scored four runs.


Pearl River had already beaten South Orangetown, 22-4, in its first game of the tournament Sunday.

Today is an off day in the Brady Tournament. Pearl River's next game is 6 p.m Wednesday against Nanuet.

There are three games in the Billy Kayser Memorial Tournament Tuesday, all at 6 p.m. East Ramapo plays Suffern, South Orangtown takes on Nanuet and Haverstraw faces Stony Point. Pearl River's next game in the baseball tournament is 6 p.m. Wednesday against New City on Kayser Field.

All games in the Kayser-Brady Tournament are played at Pearl River Little League's Anderson Field Complex in Orangeburg.
