Clausland Mountain Hike

  • Feb 26 (Sat) SIERRA CLUB CLAUSLAND MOUNTAIN HIKE- 6 Miles - We will climb up Clausland Mt. (700' not steep, easy road climb) through historic Rockland Cemetery to an old Nike missal base with splendid  views of the Hudson River. See how close nuclear missals were stored, ready to launch, to where we live. Bring hiking boots, lunch, 2 quarts of water.  Don't worry, this will be a moderate paced fun hike, a little snow won't bother us. Adverse conditions will modify the route. We meet in front of 450 Piermont Ave. (building with mural), corner of Tate and Piermont Ave. in Piermont NY at 11:15 AM. Park across the street in municipal lot D.
