Galvano to Be Rockland County Player of the Year

The Journal News will announce its soccer all-stars Sunday, including Pearl River junior midfielder Giovanni Galvano as the Rockland County Player of the Year.

Junior midfielder Giovanni Galvano played the role of catalyst for the 2011 Pearl River boys soccer team.

He did it well enough to be named the Rockland County Player of the Year by the Journal News when it officially announces its soccer all-stars Sunday.

Galvano helped Pearl River to go undefeated against Rockland County teams, with two ties against Tappan Zee, and win the League 4-B championship. The Pirates advanced to the Section 1 Class A quarterfinals.
