Jentzen Tops Dominican Scorers

The Dominican College women's basketball team is off to a 3-3 start while the men are 4-2.

K.C. Jentzen, a 5-foot-10 junior forward from Pearl River, leads the Dominican College women's basketball team in scoring (12.1 points per game) and rebounding seven per contest) through six games. 

Jentzen, a Nanuet High School graduate, is also tied for the team lead with 11 steals and she is making 51.1 percent of her shots from the field, 80.6% from the free throw line.

The Chargers are 3-3 heading into the double-header with the men at home Wednesday against Caldwell College. The women's game starts at 6 p.m., followed by the men at 8 p.m.

The Dominican College men's team is 4-2, coming off a 75-62 victory Sunday against University of District of Columbia. Senior center Cory Quimby leads the Chargers with 18.2 points per game while senior guard Leon Porter scores 12.8 per contest. 

Freshman Joey Clinton of Pearl River is averaging 16 minutes and 2.8 points per game.
