Pearl River senior John Muldoon will wrestle Chris Truglio of Minisink Valley in the quarterfinals of the Eastern States Wrestling Classic at SUNY Sullivan Saturday.
The quarterfinals are expected to begin at 9:15 a.m., with the semifinals at 1 p.m. The full list of semifinal matchups is available on the New York Wrestling News website here. Muldoon, who finished second at 120 pounds in the tournament last year, is the No. 2 seed this time around. Top seed William Koll of Lansing will face No. 9 Carter Merecki of Salem in Saturday's semifinals.
John Hartnett (220 pounds) and Mike Manni (285) of Tappan Zee also made it to the quarterfinals.
James Kelly and Nick Simeti of Pearl River were eliminated in the round of 32.
