Muldoon Takes Second at Eastern States
Pearl River junior John Muldoon reached the 120-pound finals in the Eastern State Wrestling Classic Saturday.
Pearl River's John Muldoon met Ossining's Alex Delacruz in a battle of the top two 120-pound wrestlers in the semifinals of the Eastern States Classic Wrestling Tournament at Sullivan County Community College in Loch Sheldrake, NY.
Muldoon took a 7-4 lead before winning by disqualification to reach the finals.
Danbury's Kevin Jack defeated Muldoon, 7-2, in the championship match, the Pirates' standout only his second loss of the season.

Only two Section 1 wrestlers won their weight classes at Eastern States -- Nanuet's Dan Breit at 220 pounds and New Rochelle's Nick Barbaria at 106.
