Pearl River Baseball Completes Sweep of Nanuet

Pearl River won, 6-2, at Nanuet Monday

Junior Kevin Considine went the distance to help Pearl River win at Nanuet, 6-2, Monday.

Considine struck out nine and gave up two earned runs on four hits and four walks in the complete game victory. He also contributed an RBI single for Pearl River, which improved its record to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in league play with a second consecutive victory over Nanuet (1-4, 0-2).

John Doherty singled home two runs with two outs in the second inning to give the Pirates a 4-1 lead. Rich Masley led off the game with a double, the first of his two hits, and scored twice. Chris Beers had an RBI single.

Nick O'Connor and Brandon Strathy each drove in a run for Nanuet. Pitcher Andrew Rossini took the loss despite giving up only two earned runs.

Pearl River will play at home against Clarkstown South 4:15 p.m. Tuesday.
