Pearl River Boys Basketball Stumbles at Harrison

Pearl River struggled to find its offense most of the game in a 58-47 loss at Harrison Monday.

The Pirates turned the ball over 15 times and the Huskies managed to hold senior forward Kevin Degnan, who came in averaging over 21 points per game,  to only 10. Jack Byrnes led Pearl River with 17 points and Thomas Armour had 13. 

Zac Evans led the way for Harrison with 13 points. Nick Esposito and Coby Lefkowitz had 12 and Joe Nannariello had 10 for the Huskies, who pulled away to build a 42-25 lead after three quarters. Pearl River hit four of its seven three-point shots in the fourth quarter to make it closer, but could not fully make up the deficit.

Pearl River's next game is 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at home against Nyack. Harrison will play Rye Neck in the Mamaroneck Tournament 5 p.m. Friday.
