Pearl River Boys Soccer Shuts Down Rye

Goalie Austin Maggiolo made five saves in a 1-0 Pearl River victory at home against Rye Monday.

Pearl River senior Alex Castillo scored on an assist from Brian Chiarello for Pearl River's only goal in Monday's home game agaisnt Rye.

It was all the Pirates would need. Goalie Austin Maggiolo made five saves as the Pirates blanked the Garnets.

Pearl River will complete its regular season 4 p.m. Tuesday at Albertus Magnus. The Section 1 playoff seeding meeting is scheduled for Wednesday morning. Pearl River will likely play a first-round game Friday.
