Pearl River Boys XC Splits at Tri-Meet

Pearl River defeated Albertus Magnus, 15-50, but lost to host Clarkstown North, 25-33, Tuesday.

The Pearl River boys cross country team opened its season with mixed results on the Clarkstown North's 2.5-mile course Tuesday.

Pearl River defeated Albertus Magnus, 15-50, but lost to Clarkstown North, 25-33.

Pearl River senior Brian Edsall finished first overall in 14:32 and teammate Brandon Ilie, a junior, took second in 14:36. Clarkstown North took the next five spots and nine of the next 11 to win the meet.

Pearl River's next race is the Suffern Invitational Saturday at Bear Mountain.
