Pearl River Boys XC Tops TZ, Nyack
Pearl River runners took the top three individual places as the Pirates defeated Tappan Zee and Nyack Tuesday at Pearl River Middle School.
Senior Joey Clinton was the top individual finisher overall in 16:32 as Pearl River defeated Tappan Zee and Nyack in a boys cross country tri-meet Tuesday at Pearl River Middle School.
Pearl River runners actually took the top three places, with Kieran Brennan second in 16:37 and Brian Edsall third in 16:42. Joe Dinan was Tappan Zee's top finisher at fourth overall in 16:43. Nyack's best was Julio Melendez in 17:09, good for sixth overall.
Pearl River beat Tappan Zee, 21-37, and Nyack, 17-46, to open its season 2-0. Tappan Zee (1-1) defeated Nyack (0-2) by a score of 18-45.
