Goalie Annie McBride recorded seven saves as Pearl River shut out Nanuet, 2-0, to earn its first victory of the season Thursday at Pearl River.

Kristen Sammon and Julie Roth scored goals for the Pirates, who improved to 1-2. Erin Dolphin assisted on both goals.

Pearl River's next game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Clarkstown North.
