Pearl River Field Hockey Wins Play for the Cure Game

The Pearl River field hockey team made its Play for the Cure game at home against Clarkstown North Tuesday a success on and of the scoreboard.

The Pirates wore pink socks and hair ribbons and the Rams made pink tye dyes for breast cancer awareness. Pearl River raised over $500 in the fight against the disease.

Pearl River dominated the game, pulling away for a 7-0 victory. Courtney Ocasal scored two goals and assisted on two more. Erin Dolphin, Angela Rendina, Kristen Sammon, Maggie Davin and Maggie Kilkenny also scored goals, Jackie Dowling had three assists and goalie Annie McBride made three saves for the Pirates (7-2-3).

Pearl River's next game is 4 p.m. Thursday at North Rockland.
