Pearl River won a tiebreaker with East Aurora for second place in the State Class B girls cross country championships Saturday at Queensbury.
Queensbury won the Class B girls team title. Pearl River's Kelly Hayes finished third overall in the Class B race with a time of 17:56.5.
On the boys side, Pearl River senior Brian Cook finished third in the state in Class B with a time of 15:19.8. Lake Shore's T.J. Hornberger ran the 5,000 meter course in 15:16.3 to win the Class B race. Tappan Zee junior Luke Gavigan finished fourth.
