Pearl River Girls XC Beats Nyack for 200th Consecutive Dual Meet Victory

The Pearl River girls cross country team pushed its streak of dual meet victories to 200 with a 15-50 win against Nyack at Pearl River Middle School Tuesday.

The Pirates' streak goes back to a loss to Nanuet in 1990. Pearl River completed its 2013 dual meet schedule with a 4-0 record, dropping Nyack to 1-3.

Pearl River competed without many of its top runners to give others an opportunity, yet still claimed the first 12 spots overall Tuesday. Jesse McCarthy registered the fastest time of 20:56.7.
