The Pearl River girls cross country team won its race at the Manhattan College Cross Country Invitational in Van Cortland Park in the Bronx for the third consecutive year Saturday.
In the 41st running of the event, Pearl River senior Kelly Hayes finished first overall in a time of 15:03.7 and the Pirates led the way with 32 points in the Varsity Girls F Race.
Pearl River placed four runners in the top 10 and seven in the top 20. Following Hayes, they had Erin Clinton fifth in 15:43.6, Ailish Durcan seventh in 15:53.1, Catherine Rayward ninth in 15:57.1, Emma Haley 11th in 16:01.1, Laura Cooper 14th in 16:08.8 and Kaitlyn Harding 20th in 16:12.4.
