Pearl River Hockey Falls to ETB

The combined Eastchester/Tuchahoe/Bronxville team took an early lead and held on to beat Pearl River, 4-3, Saturday.

The Pearl River ice hockey team continued its slow start with a 4-3 loss to ETB Saturday at Sport-O-Rama in Monsey. 

The combined Eastchester/Tuckahoe/Bronxville squad took 2-0 lead after one peariod and held on for the victory. Matt Power led the Eagles' offense with two goals and two assists. Chris Hagen and Jack Doherty each added a goal and an assist for ETB.

Max McGee scored two goals for Pearl River. Gary Healy scored the other goal for the Pirates, whose record fell to 1-5. Kevin Murphy had two assists and goaltender Sam Coughlin made 19 saves on 23 shots.

Pearl River plays another combined team, Sleepy/DobbsFerry/Irvington, 10:45 a.m. Dec. 27 at Palisades.
