Pearl River Hockey Skates Past Ossining

Five players scored goals for Pearl River in a 6-2 victory over Ossining Saturday at Sport-O-Rama.

The Pearl River ice hockey team ran its unbeaten streak to five games with a 6-2 victory over Ossining Saturday at Sport-O-Rama in Monsey.

Five players scored at least one goal for Pearl River (6-8-1), which outshot Ossining, 30-11. The Pride fell to 0-17.

Shane Ocasal scored two goals and assisted on another for the Pirates. Max McGee, Pat Gannon, Kevin Murphy and Thomas Murphy each scored one goal and Gary Healy assisted on two. Goaltender Sam Coughlin faced 11 shots and made nine saves for the Pirates.

Pearl River plays Suffern (12-2) 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sport-O-Rama.

Jake Camilliere and Nick Lema each scored a goal for Ossining, which is trying to avoid a winless season after reaching the playoffs a year ago. The Pride's next game is 4:30 p.m. Sunday against Fox Lane.

Pearl River's three-game winning streak had come to an end Friday night with a 2-2 tie against Byram Hills at Sport-O-Rama. Kevin Murphy scored both Pearl River goals in that game and Coughlin made 13 saves on 15 shots.
