Pearl River Holiday Track Invitational Packs RCC Fieldhouse

The Pearl River Track and Field Holiday Festival drew top competition from in and around Rockland County to Rockland Community College's Levy Fieldhouse Friday.

In the girls meet, Pearl River senior Amanda Moroney won the 55 Meter Hurdles in 8.5 seconds. Teammate Kayla Clohessy took fifth in the hurdles and won the long jump with a distance of 16-07. 

Tappan Zee's Erin Jaskot won the 1,000 Yard Run in 2:44.8. Nanuet's team of Lauren Fernandez, MaryKate O'Meara, Brook Madry and Jordana Schucker won the 4 X 400 Meter Relay. O'Meara also finished second in the 1600 Meter Run, which Jaime Lord of North Rockland won. 

On the boys side, Tappan Zee's Luke Gavigan won the 3200 Meter Run in 9:58. Clarkstown South's Najee Taylor won the triple jmp and finished second on the high jump. Pearl River's Ben McDermott finished second to winner Liam Purdy of North Rockland in the 1600 Meter Run.
