Pearl River Improves to 2-1 in Junior Softball Regional Pool
Pearl River defeated Westerly, RI, 12-0 Saturday.
Caroline Kardashian and Katherine Gilbride combined to throw a five-hit shutout as Pearl River defeated Westerly, RI, 12-0 in Junior Eastern Regional Regional tournament pool play Saturday in West Haven, CT.
Kardashian struck out all six batters she faced. Kirsten McGarvey and Mandy McCarthy each drove in two runs and Jules Madigan scored three in the victory.
Pearl River will play twice Sunday, facing the state champions from New Jersey and Maryland.
