Both Pearl River lacrosse teams will take the field for Section 1 Class C playoff games Thursday.
The Pearl River boys, the No. 16 seed, will start with an outbracket game 4:30 at home against No. 17 Westlake. The winner of that game will play on the road Friday at top-ranked Bronxville.
The Pearl River girls enter the tournament as the defending section champions and the No. 9 seed. The Pirates will play at No. 8 Edgemont Thursday at a time to be determined. The Class C girls playoff pairings were made ahead of the other classifications because of the unusually-high number of teams in the tournament.
