Pearl River Little League Update: Softball 12s Win Section 4 Opener
Softball 9/10 All-Stars face Nanuet 7 p.m. Saturday.
Pearl River's District 18 champion 12-year-olds softball team opened the Section 4 tournament with a 7-4 victory over Hyde Park Saturday. Pearl River will face Eastchester 1 p.m. Sudnday at Beekman Little League Field.
That was part of a busy weekend for Pearl River Little League baseball and softball teams in all-star tournament play.
- Pearl River's 9/10 softball team won twice before a 10- loss to New City Friday. Pearl River plays at Nanuet 7 p.m. Saturday, with the winner facing New City for the district championship.

- Pearl River's 9/10 baseball team was eliminated with a 6-5 loss to Nyack-Valley Cottage Friday.
- The baseball major 12s open tournament play 6 p.m. Sunday against host Congers at Hemlock park.
- Pearl River's junior boys also open tournament play Sunday. They face Nyack-Valley Cottage at 5:30 p.m at Stony Point's Veterans Park.
