Pearl River LL Teams Compete in States
The Pearl River Junior Softball All-Stars and Majors Baseball All-Stars both play New York State playoff games Friday.
Pearl River Little League's two remaining All-Star teams in New York State competition take the field today.
The undefeated Junior Girls Softball All-Stars will begin play in the state tournament this afternoon in Chatham, NY. Many of the same players on this age 13-14 team won a state championship in 2009 and five of them played for the Pearl River High School Section 1 championship team this spring.
The Pearl River Majors Baseball All-Stars (ages 11-12) will compete in the loser's bracket of the state tournament tonight at the South Shore Little League in Staten Island. Pearl River lost its opening game in the tournament Wednesday, 5-1 to Fayetteville-Manlius.
