Pearl River Opens Baseball Playoffs at Home Tuesday

No. 10 Pearl River will play at home 4:30 p.m. Tuesday against No. 23 Port Chester in a preliminary round baseball playoffs game. 
The winner of that game will play at No. 7 Byram Hills Wednesday. Byram Hills defeated Pearl River in the first round of the section playoffs last season. The teams played again in the opener this season, a 10-9 Pearl River victory. 
League rival Tappan Zee got the No. 1 seed in Class A and will open the playoffs at home Wednesday against the winner of Tuesday's contest between Ossining and Yonkers. 
Section 1 set the playoff seeding and pairings Monday, with all preliminary-round games Tuesday and the first round Wednesday. Full pairings are below. The championship games will be played at Provident Bank Park, Class AA and Class A May 29 and Class B May 28.
