Pearl River's Muldoon, Kelly Reach Wrestling Section Semifinals
John Muldoon and James Kelly will compete in the Section 1 Division I wrestling semifinals 3 p.m. Monday at Pace.
Pearl River junior John Muldoon and sophomore James Kelly both won two matches Sudnay to reach the semifinals of the Section 1 Division I wrestling tournament at Pace University.
The semifinals wil begin at 3 p.m. Monday at Pace, with the finals at approximately 6 p.m.

Seven Pirates qualified for sectionals. Junior Rob Gullo (152 pounds), freshman Jake Kurzhals (113) and eighth grader Sean McGarvey (99 pounds) each won first-round matches before falling to the consolation bracket in the quarterfinals.
Pearl River junior Nick Simeti (132) and senior Chris Flynn (170) lost in the first round Sunday.

The tournament had been scheduled for Saturday at Clarkstown South and Sunday at Pace, but those plans had to be altered due to Friday's snow.
