Pearl River avenged its only defeat and advanced to the Section 4 12-year-old softball finals with a 7-5 victory over Middletown Tuesday.
Pearl River must win twice to take the championship. The first game is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Riley Malone doubled home two runs in the third and pulled off two of Pearl River's four sacrifice bunts. Kelli Scanlon and Michaela Murphy had the other two.
Eastchester rallied for five runs in the top of the sixth and had the bases loaded when Kaitlyn Harding ended the game with what coach Ken McCarthy called a "beautiful catch."
Maloney earned the victory, striking out three and giving up six hits and five walks in six innings.
