Pearl River Softball Teams Compete in District 18 Little League
Pearl River's 13/14 and 10/11 softball teams will compete in District 18 All-Star Tournament play today and tomorrow.
Pearl River still has two all-star teams alive in District 18 Tournament play.
One takes the field tonight when the 13-14-year-olds play Haverstraw at 7:45 p.m. on Haverstraw's Little League Fields in a winner's bracket game. The losing team will play New City Friday. The winner will be off until Monday.
Many of the girls on that Pearl River team won a state championship together in 2009. Five members of the team played for the Pearl River High School varsity squad that won a Section 1 Championship this spring.

Pearl River's 10-11-year-old softball team will begin its District 18 tournament play by taking on Nanuet 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Anderson Field in Orangeburg.
