Pearl River Sports: Field Hockey Unbeaten in 10

The Pearl River field hockey team opened the season with two losses and a tie in its first three games.

The Pirates haven't lost a game since. They ran their unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 3-0 victory at North Rockland Thursday.

Courtney Ocasal scored two goals, Maggie Davin had one and goalie Annie McBride made eight saves in the shutout. Read more about the game here. Pearl River (8-2-3) has now won eight and tied twice in the last 10 contests. 

The Pirates will try to keep their successful run going at home 4 p.m. Friday against Nanuet.

  • Girls tennis: Pearl River competes in the conference tournament at Pearl River, 3 p.m.
  • Field hockey: Nanuet at Pearl River, 4 p.m.
  • Boys soccer: Pearl River at Tappan Zee, 7 p.m. (Note the change in start time)
Saturday's Events
  • Boys and girls cross country: Pearl River runs in the Manhattan Invitational at Van Cortland Park, 9 a.m.
  • Girls soccer: Pearl River at Briarcliff, 11 a.m.
  • Football: Pearl River at Gorton, 1:30 p.m.
