Pearl River Sports: Football Faces Top-Ranked Harrison; Sullivan Duathlon Set for Sunday

The Pearl River football team will play 7 p.m. Friday at Harrison, currently ranked second in the state and first in the section in Class A.

Pearl River football Head Coach Jeff Michael knew the schedule would only get tougher after his team fell to 1-3 with a 21-14 home loss to Beacon last week.

"It doesn't get any easier," Michael said. "We have to respond by coming to practice Monday ready to work."

Pearl River will travel to play at undefeated Harrison 7 p.m. tonight, squaring off against a team that is currently ranked No. 2 in the state in Class A by the New York State Sportswriter's Association

"They are a very, very good team, top to bottom," Michael said. "Even second string, they have size and they have speed across the board."
